I went to visit my sisters in Hawaii this last Spring Break (2006). Rachel and Ikaika got my parents to help build two more rooms onto their house, effectively multiplying the size of their house by two.

I didn't get too many opportunities to take cool looking pictures because it rained most of the time, but I got some. Check out the night shots at the end of the gallery!

Here is the full view from on top of my sister's house. Notice the stunning view in the backyard. You can see the beginnings of the construction. I took these pictures the first day, and a lot was built on top of this by the end of the week.

This was at the rehersal for CTO's Little Mermaid. The girls were doing some dance and I was bored.

Yeah, I know. It's too dark and there are rain smudges on it. And I don't know them. Yeah, that's kind of creepy.

I thought this was an aesthetically pleasing flag.

Really random. Look at the saturation, though. I had discovered that F10 looks cooler than F2.8

I thought this was a nice way to take really cool rocks that will look good no matter how you take the picture and shoot them with a different perspective. I should raise the contrast on this.

NIGHT SHOTS:

I haven't decided if I really like this one or if it could have been so much better. I love the way the shadow helps balance the picture. I tried to recreate that same shadow effect with a lower light setting and gave up.

This is the same picture above, only without my shadow and at F5.6 instead of F2.8

I tried putting myself in a few pictures. (yeah, shut up). I'm a little blurry, but I think it looks cool that way.

I tried taking some "night photography" during dusk. I've never done that before. I really like how unsettling this picture looks.

This was taken at the same beach at the same time. I really liked the way this turned out.
