1/18/08- Besides the blog, I haven't really touched anything else. I would like to put together another few galleries in the "Photography" section, because I really haven't put anything up there in over a year, but I don't know when I'll do that. Tonight I took out the "Her Green Eyes" story and put in "the Tunnel" poem in the writing section. I was getting really tired of people reading what I think of as my worst story, just because it has an alternative ending. I might fix it someday, but probably not.

8/7/07- I'm trying to get the website to a point where I can update it easily without spending a lot of time on it. I made the front a simpler layout, finally getting rid of all those things I never updated, like the "photoshop" and "about me" page. I'm not going to have a family and friends picture section, because facebook has made that kind of pointless, but I'll leave the link up in the "aesthetic" pictures. I also updated and re-vamped the writing section, making that easier to update as well. Hopefully this works.

12/9/06- June 20th? Little did I know how long it would be until I made a real update. Oh well. This one makes up for its delay with its sheer size. I've added seven, yes, seven galleries, only one of which is aesthetic. In the nostalgic section I've added: horseback riding from this summer, other random summer pics, apple picking from October, pics from my birthday weekend back at home, pictures from the film shoots I was in this semester, and other random pictures from this semester. I also added an aesthetic gallery of sunsets. Yeah, I know it's really cheesy. And I added 3 pictures to the Summer 06 aesthetic gallery, adding captions to all the night shots that didn't have descriptions or captions before. Oh yeah! I also changed the "window" layout in the two different galleries, just to stir things up a little bit. I think that's it.

9/02/06- June 20th. That was a long time ago. I haven't updated lately because my camera broke and it still hasn't come back from the warranty place. I've taken only two sets of pictures since the last update, and they are mediocre. I should probably post some of them anyway, maybe in the nostalgic galleries. Oh yeah, all I'm adding right now is a poem called "This white mask." I know. This is a weak update.

6/20/06- Added "Summer 06" to the aesthetic galleries. I was working on the Photoshop page, but then I got lazy. I also added the two stories I did in ENG404 this last semester in the "Writing Portfolio" section that no one goes to.

4/16/06- Happy Easter! It's sort of dull, when you're away from home. I put some cool night shots of stuff I've done this semester (with my P200) in the "aesthetic galleries." That's all. Happy Easter. I need to tell someone. I'm bored...

3/19/06- Big update! Created a new "Main Page" layout, with a new .gif screen so I can have slideshow-type thing going on. It's about time I changed the website's cover. I'm going to put pictures of whatever I update in the screen instead of that tacky red "last updated" thing. I also put up three big galleries of Hawaii pictures: and aesthetic, a nostalgic, and a Mahea gallery. The new layout took forever to do. You better enjoy it.

1/20/06- I added "Her Green Eyes" to the Writing Portfolio, along with its alternative ending. It's long, you probably won't finish it.

12/28/05- Added "30 second" gallery in the aesthetic section. I also updated the "about me" section finally.

11/04/05- Added two new galleries! "Light and Shadows" (Aesthetic Galleries) is basically Night shots 3. I just thought it could use a new title. "Disney November" (Nostalgic Photos) is some pics of when my brother's fam came down to visit. Ironically, there are no pictures of anything Disney related in the gallery...

11/04/05- Added a new gallery to the aesthetic galleries entitled "Night Shots 2." I also finally separated the picture gallery itself.

10/27/05- Okay, so there's a little new layout to the website. I'm still working out the kinks. I divided the "galleries" section into three parts: "Aesthetic Gallery", which are galleries of stuff I did with artistic intentions, "Photoshop," which I plan to eventually update with all the stuff I've done on Photoshop and haven't put on the website, and "Nostalgic Photos," which is the ever-growing section of pictures I've taken with family and friends. Also, I added a "Writing Portfolio" section, which I think is pretty cool. I'm going to start posting the fiction that I write in class. If any of you guys want to send me some constructive criticism on stuff you read, please do!

10/07/05- Happy Birthday to me! I'm working right now. It's 6:30 AM. Only 1 1/2 hours left! I added a gallery called "Nisha's B-Day." It doesn't really have anything to do with Nisha's Birthday, besides the fact that it was taken on Nisha's Birthday. I'm 20. I wrote another thing on xanga. Check it out HERE. I also just added a little thing about what I'm up to in the "What I'm up to" section.

8/31/05- A new skiing gallery! I'm surprised it took me this long to finally get this gallery up. It took me a three nights and some of a day to make, and its not obvious by looking at it. It's got four separate galleries: Me, Josh, Ted, and Random Pics. Check it out via the "Gallery" link!

8/20/05- I put some pictures of Coral Gables in the "Campus Pics" page in the "what I'm up to" section. Removed the pictures of Mahealani from the "what I'm up to" section and gave her a gallery of her own. I also finally updated the "Florida and Me" page.

8/16/05- Okay, it's been awhile since I updated anything lately. What I just did tonight: Added four pictures of my brand new niece in the "What I'm Up To" section, Added two new pictures to the "Night Shots" section in the galleries, Added a new section in the galleries called "Shows" with two new pictures, Moved that one picture of me shortly after the haircut to the "About Me" section, And last but not least, I added a whole new gallery of 12 pictures called "Laura's Canon." Check it out!

2/6/05- Okay guys! I finally put on the gallery of pictures of my niece. My sister-in-law called and threatened me. I also put a gallery of night pictures I took with Kelly a few months ago. It's about time. So... check 'em out!

2/2/05- I put a link to my Cousin's (Ted) website in the "galleries" section.

1/27/05- I put some pictures of Brianna and me and some pictures of my new haircut on the "What I'm up to" page.

1/20/05- Back at college! I added another gallery of pictures I took while back at home. It took so long! I made a door to go along with the windows, and making the door outline took an hour by itself. That's not counting the pictures and the font.

12/30/04- Wow, it's been awhile since I updated this thing. I didn't do much though. I just made the "What I'm up to" page a bit prettier and added a picture to the campus shots that's not even a picture of the campus. Hehe. My sister also took a lot of good pics of my niece. I'm gonna get those on eventually as well.

11/22/04- Well! I finally got this new layout thing running. Hope you like it. I would also like to congratulate my sister-in-law and brother. They had a baby girl yesterday! I'm putting a picture of it right now in the "what I'm up to section." and ooo, just you wait. When I get a camera and that kid in the same room, there's no telling how many pictures are gonna be posted here. haha. my, this page looks very dull.

11/19/04- I'm in the process of makin' a new layout for the site. It's gonna be awesome! So... stay tuned!

11/14/04- Hey guys! I just got back from a trip to Marco Island with a few of my friends. It was pretty cool. Meghan's awesome! Here are a few pics. Notice how I didn't make a separate thing on the side for them. PICTURES!

11/10/04- I added a "Picture of the Day" (or week, or month, or whenever I decide to update it) link above. Hopefully this will get me to post more pics on the site, because it's a lot less work than making a whole new link and stuff.

10/23/04- Guess what? I made another backdrop! Check it out in the "Wallpapers" section. While you're at it, take a gander at my added "Campus Shots" page, with pics of my campus! Okay, so there's only two pictures as of now, but I'll add some soon. And yes, I am aware that there are 10 links in the table to the left. Yes, that's a lot. I'll figure something out.

10/14/04- Hey everyone! Sorry, I haven't done anything to the website in about two weeks. See, I'm pretty much almost failing all my classes right now, and I'm trying to bring my grades back up. Haha, you think I'm joking, don't you? Anyways, the other reason I haven't done anything recently is because I've been creating a website for my sister. She is running a branch off of CTE in Hawaii called CTO, Children's Theater of Oahu. http://www.geocities.com/ctohawaii/index.html Anyways, check out the site, it's cool, I promise. There's not much on there now, but I'm sure by the time anyone reads this I would have put the rest of the site together. Adios!

 10/09/04- Okay, so I finally changed the "All about me..." page, and guys, for future reference, if I put something really dumb on the site, TELL ME! No one told me that the whole reflections project I did was a creepy thing to have lining your website. Everyone lied! Finally, when I asked my sister what she thought of the site, she said it was "a little too much Jacob." Later, I was talking to this kid I barely know who had seen the website, (how many people have you shown this to, Emily?) He didn't say the site was cool. He said it was creepy. There! So simple! All anyone had to do was tell me and I would take it off. Oh yeah, I also added two pictures to the link and made it so all of the pictures could be enlarged with a mouse click!

    10/07/04-Happy Birthday to me! I joined Xanga accidently by commenting on one of my friend's diary entries. Its like an online diary thing. I had a giant paragraph of my thoughts on birthdays, but instead of reading it here, you can read it HERE. I have decided that if I actually use this Xanga thing, I will eventually just create a link on this and post them in my own domain!

    9/30/04- So, if you guys are otherwise unaware, my beautiful cousin Carolyn, the generous provider of this awesome website, showed me how to shorten the address of the site. So, now its not jake.akemann.net/html/main.html, but simply jake.akemann.net ! Cool! You can also search "jacob akemann" on yahoo! and come out with this site. Cool stuff right there. I'm like, famous. Okay, nevermind. It used to do that. I wonder what went wrong....

    9/29/04- Tonight I added the "Air Pics!" page. I've really been adding a lot of pictures to this site. I wonder if I should continue to do that, as one can only look at so many pictures before one gets bored. But then, why else would anyone visit the site, especially mine, if not for the pictures or me making them go? Oh well, enjoy the "Air Pics!" Oh yeah, a few days ago, I added the background picture behind the very text I am typing right now. I decided that background pictures, if done properly can add a professional look to webpages. Do you think so? I would also love some feedback on what I should put on the site. I know no one will give me any ideas, but hey, what does it hurt to ask?

    9/24/04- oh wait... I guess its 9/25 now- I just added an "All About Me" page. It's got pictures of me and my family. Its not really "all about me" though. I intended it to be like, explaining who I was and stuff, but who really wants to read all that crap anyways? Not me, and by "not me" I mean I don't want to type it. So, enjoy!

    9/24/04- Alright, I finally got this website working! I have text in ALL the links to the left as well. In case you're wondering, I had, like, three paragraphs of text that I just erased. It wasn't anything important though, it was basically just the progress of me trying to finally get this website working. Right now, I've settled on using a mixture of GoLive and FrontPage. GoLive I find impossible to publish things, and FrontPage I find impossible to coordinate objects. They should like, merge or something.

    Anyways, my webpage. Its not much right now, just pictures and a brief thing about Florida. I'm eventually going to put on a page about me (maybe tonight), but then I realized that I don't really have many things on me on my computer, like pictures and whatnot. Plus, everyone who visits this webpage knows everything about me anyways. Oh well, I'll find something about me. I'll get to work on that right now...
